Newest Release (2025) — Georgia-25NV was released in 2025 by the Georgia Agricultural Experiment Station. Seed availability will increase in coming years as Foundation Seed quantities grow.
Georgia-25NV is the program’s newest cultivar release and represents the next generation of multi-trait peanut breeding. Developed using pedigree selection, it combines high yield, high grade, high-oleic quality, TSWV resistance, and very high RKN resistance in a single large-seeded runner-type variety.
Key Traits
High-oleic fatty acid ratio (longer shelf life, improved processing quality)
High resistance to Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus (TSWV)
Very high RKN resistance (via marker-assisted selection — Ad SNP 584)
Higher TSMK grade and meat content than TifNV-HG
Large-seeded runner market-type
Evaluated across 12 tests at multiple Georgia locations over 3 years (2022–2024)
Note: Seed supply is very limited for 2026. Breeder Seed is currently going toward Foundation Seed increase.
